The BIG Day
It’s time to get your girl down the aisle!
So, on the day of the wedding, a schedule needs to be made but there are a few questions you should ask first.
Is the Bride making the schedule?
If you’re making the schedule, ensure everything is listed so no one has any questions
Location for Bridal suite
Arrival/ Departure time
Picture time
Makeup schedule
Outfit needs (i.e., dress, jewelry, shoes)
Food (very important!)
Once that’s settled and shared with the group, you’re good there! It’s nice to post it on the door if you can print it but not necessary.
For the bride, this day is going to be stressful and she deserves to enjoy as much of it as she can. So, make sure you know most of the details for the day of and ask her if she’d prefer you to be POC (point of contact) so you can manage calls and texts.
Once at the wedding, it’s game time!
You’re doing the final touches with the girls and making sure the bride doesn’t need anything. A lot of people don’t think about this but it’s nice to ask the Father of the Bride if he’d like a moment with his daughter before they walk. The other important moment is the button or zipping of the wedding dress by their mom!
*Make sure the girls have a tissue to hold with their bouquet in case they cry
Now, your girl is DOWN THE AISLE! Make sure you hold her bouquet as well as make sure her dress/train is placed correctly once at the altar.
After the final kiss, GIVE HER BACK THE BOUQUET! Empty hands going back down the aisle typically isn’t the photo brides want.
After the ceremony, it’s your time to shine LOL
Speech! Speech! Speech! Speech!
It’s time for your speech! Some like to prepare as it makes them more comfortable, but others speak from the heart. Either way, have fun and you got this!
After the speech, you’re almost done! Make sure you turn the party up and have a good time! Ensure the Bride and Groom had food too!
You will be able to breathe at the end once the wedding is over and everyone gets to their room/home safely.
You did it! Congrats and job well done!
